Gat3 Productions, Glenn Tabor, Earns Two Grammys
Charlotte, NC: February 10, 2010 Glenn A. Tabor, III, engineer, producer and owner of Gat3 Productions was honored with Two Grammys, at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony.
“Every album that I work on is so important to me, stated Glenn Tabor, but I think that we all would agree that when you receive this type of recognition, it’s special in it’s own way,” stated Tabor.
Production work, including mixing, was completed on songs from the award-winning album “Oh Happy Day” [EMI Gospel/Vector Recordings], including the title cut performed by Queen Latifah & Jubilation, at Gat3 Productions. Glenn Tabor contributed as engineer as well as mix engineer of songs from this All-Star Music Album. Industry Producer, Cedric Thompson for Ced’s Productions contributed as producer and together, the team created history. The album took home the award for Best Traditional Gospel Album of the Year. The award winning duo also collaborated and contributed to production and mix on songs from yet another album that won that evening, Heather Headley, “Audience of One” [EMI Gospel] which was awarded Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album of the year.
This was not the first Grammy Nomination for either of these guys; both gentlemen hold numerous honors and nominations in many different categories and associations. In 2008, another album Tabor recorded, mixed and mastered, “Tell Someone” [Rebel Records] by the Kenny and Amanda Smith Band, was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Southern, Blue Grass or Gospel Album category. These wins were certainly a first for both of these guys, hopefully, the first of many to come.
